Blockbusters Gang is a crewing service provider that operates in the media industry and is formed by a network of freelancers.
We’re not a production company – we help all productions (mostly film, TV and commercials) by offering reliable staff who are motivated and have a kick-ass attitude towards working in the industry. We also offer full-service packages for example for casting and marketing, and we rent out some equipment too.
Our services are invoiced all at once – no more battling with employment procedures and tax cards with each hired person. BBG freelancers are all only one call away, so remember who you gonna call..!
We are all that stands between you and the end of the world (a bad production).
Filmmaking itself is a privilege – and we hope we can lead the way by bringing more color, vision, stories and people to it. Many of our workers have joined us early in their career – some straight out of school or even without any further education. We’ve given them opportunities based on their motivation – and hope we can encourage our clients to see beyond workers’ age, gender, background or looks. For us, a professional is always a professional.
Besides this, we want to be as transparent to our workers and clients as possible. It’s not always easy – talking about money never is – but we’re committed to do our best and make it more normal for everyone.
Throughout BBG’s journey, we’ve adapted our business to our growing understanding of filmmaking and to fit international productions’ needs. The world is our playground – we’re never ready but always willing to expand. We’ve had our workers in productions on four different continents and hope their skills and knowledge will take this team and the Nordic film industry to another level.
We’re focused on making our company as friendly to our planet as possible and try to educate all our workers towards more sustainable filmmaking. It requires ground level work besides setting the policies – and we hope our vision and willingness will inspire you to do the same in your productions.
We strongly believe in sharing knowledge. After a couple of years of work, we first launched the concept “BBG Coaching” in collaboration with Uneton48 and later founded our own Junior Program, from which two classes have now graduated. We’re currently looking for funding for a new version of the program to be held in 2021.
As we think we’re never ready, we also offer additional training to all our members. The latest training sessions have included a lecture on Risk Management of Covid-19 in Productions, an MS Excel Workshop and a yearly update on Finnish salaries and working conditions. For 2021, we’ve so far lined up extra safety training, lectures on sustainable production and an information security workshop.
