Rebecca Ward – Blockbusters Gang

Rebecca joined our team shortly after getting to know us on a short film production in 2021.
Before that she’d focused on her work as an Actor and Voiceover Artist and only visited the backstage of filmmaking. Turned out she’s a natural talent – and we wanted to bring her into the Finnish filmmaking world!

During her time with us Rebecca has worked mostly in the AD and Casting departments and assisted in Production teams. Her main area of work usually focuses around cast and crowds. As a performer herself she knows how to make actors and crowd feel welcomed and comfortable. However, Rebecca has skills in coordinating anything else too – teams, catering, logistics, rehearsals, you name it.

Besides her organising skills, Rebecca also has a great talent in socialising with other people. She simply gets along with everyone. In the theatre industry she’s worked as a Company Manager with a cast of 50+ performers managing the project’s scheduling, actor’s tracks and actor’s HR needs. This gives you an idea of what she can handle. Her specialty is being adaptable – she’s worked on multiple larger scale international productions yet perfectly fits into the indie film world as well.

Before her experience in film, Rebecca has built a strong background in theatre productions. She is the Artistic Director of a theatre company in UK and has written, directed and produced plays for Chelmsford Theatre and Wind Song Theatre in the past.

Rebecca currently divides her time between Helsinki and London (the latter being where she grew up), but is open to travel further for interesting job opportunities. We’d say she’s at her best on international sets, like co-productions of any scale, or production service projects when she can put her understanding of different cultures to good use. She is passionate about the film industry and willing to get stuck into all sorts of exciting projects. She is happiest when she has the opportunity to find new talent and work with actors exploring text.
