Blockbusters Gang Network was originally founded by four aspiring filmmakers in 2014. In 2016 Emma Ilves and Iiris Orasmaa, two of the founding members, took the lead and established a limited company to take it to the next level. Now in 2024 we’ve merged with Helsinki Casting creating a home for Nordic’s top filmmakers and performers.

Pilvi and Jennifer form our key team in the office managing all day to day tasks concerning the productions we’re involved with. As Pilvi manages the client’s side Jennifer recruits suitable talents and works with those who are already in the field working for us.

Gang leaders:

Emma Ilves  was first introduced to the film industry in 2012 while doing her marketing internship in a film production company. After finishing her business studies, she continued working in film marketing, sales and distribution both in Finland and abroad. Taking the role of a CEO of Blockbusters Gang was natural for Emma, as creating and running a successful business had been one of her biggest dreams. Now Emma is heading both brands under one company – Blockbusters Gang and Helsinki Casting.

Iiris Orasmaa (prev. Juutilainen) has a strong filming background. She started her career at an early age, working on multiple indie film productions, and is known as one of Finland’s top 1st Assistant Directors with strong international experience. Besides Scandinavia and the Baltic countries, Iiris has filmed all over Europe, in the US and Africa and worked with crews from all over the world.

When Emma’s making sure our company develops, Iiris is driving our gang members to evolve on their skills by mentoring and educating them. And besides these two we’ve got partners from Helsinki Casting helping out on creating even wider selection of services.
