One of our latest members Matti joined the gang in Summer 2023 after completing BBG AD Bootcamp’s course the same spring. Though his experience in the industry is limited we’ve got a good feeling Matti will become a star player in the future!

Before starting his studies towards filmmaking Matti has been working as an supporting actor and featured / background extra. He’s seen multiple different sets and productions through those eyes. Besides completing a qualification degree in film and TV in Voionmaa Institute Matti is currently starting his BA training in Metropolia School of Applied Sciences.

Matti has tried his feet in the field by completing a traineeship in a local TV series as a 3rd AD and on few shorter productions as a PA or 2nd AD Trainee. He has especially enjoyed working with schedules and due to that interest he is hoping to become a 2nd Assistant Director in the future. Matti has trained creating call sheets, understanding working laws and reading through different forms of breakdowns. Prior to mastering the art of scheduling he’d wish to experience any other positions available with less credits – including eg. work as a Trainee, PA, assistant in casting or Junior 3rd AD.

We’ve been impressed by Matti’s humble, honest and dedicated working ethic as well as his true motivation to make a breakthrough to the industry. He describes himself as a quick learner and socially skilled – and he fluently works with computers though some industry programs may be new to him. 

We’re hoping to get Matti out to the field soon to gather more understanding and develop his talent towards a true professional!
