Script Supervisor & Assistant Director
Otto Metsämäki is a dedicated and adaptable filmmaker with a strong work ethic and a natural ability to keep productions running smoothly. Since 2018, he has worked across various roles in film and television, including as an Assistant Director and Script Supervisor. With a keen eye for production flow and a calm, problem-solving mindset, he ensures that schedules run smoothly and teams stay focused.
Otto is known for his approachable and positive attitude, making him an easy person to work with in any production setting. He communicates clearly, handles tasks efficiently, and contributes to a collaborative and well-organized work environment. His ability to stay calm under pressure and find practical solutions makes him a valuable asset on set.
While he has a background as a Script Supervisor, Otto feels most at home in the Assistant Directing department. He has already gained experience in this role and is eager to continue developing his skills further. His structured yet flexible approach allows him to maintain efficiency while adapting to the dynamic nature of production.
Fluent in Swedish, Finnish, and English, he easily navigates multilingual productions and international collaborations.
Aspiring to further establish himself as a 1st AD, Otto is also interested in 2nd & 3rd AD roles, productional roles and remains open to Script Supervising roles and seeks to deepen his expertise in on-set safety protocols. Passionate about storytelling and teamwork, he is a dedicated professional ready to take on new challenges in both local and international productions.
