Liked and loved – our top Crowd AD and Casting Director Pia is the one who everyone wants to work with!
Pia has her background in production services. She worked in Spain for years and as a freelance production worker for all together hundreds of productions, including both stills and video. In her work she eg. arranged locations, supervised PA’s, organised resources and worked with budgets and schedules. Besides this she also has experience as a wardrobe stylist. The understanding and knowhow she’s gathered of these duties has made her a strong, hands-on worker with skills to manage performers and their casting process extremely well. If there’s a face for exclusive background actors casting, it’s definitely Pia’s. She takes everything into account, from the shooting locations to costumes and make up department, lunch arrangements and continuity. Besides the creative vision and her organising skills she’s familiar with managing contracts, informing payroll and even has recently widen her capabilities into coding and data management (that’s why our database keeps evolving too!)
Pia speaks for fairness and pays lots of effort on making sure all performers, cast and crowd can feel welcome, safe and equally treated on all her productions. Pia is also a natural on supervising and helping others – she’s lectured about casting and crowd management in the AD Bootcamp and acted as a mentor during BBG Junior Program in 2019. Most of our newcomers are craving to be assisting her on any productions to learn and absorb her energy.
