We’ve gladly welcomed another upcoming filmmaker into our gang: lovely Teresa!
Teresa brings a lot of positive attitude and motivation into our group of workers. Prior to moving to Finland she’d already completed Batchelor’s Degree in Theatre in North Carolina Methodist University. Once arriving to Helsinki Teresa got into Academy of Moving People and Images for their 2-year program of film. In the program Teresa was introduced into all aspects of filmmaking – acting, directing, production design, cinematography, sound design… – and was able to take her understanding of storytelling and project based working into another level. Program included lectures and theory besides actual production of multiple short films.
Teresa got to know us through AMPI+ workshop of assistant directing in spring 2023. She’d completed few short films as the Assistant Director and was a natural choice to jump into assisting one of our 1st AD’s on their next short production as the 3rd AD. Her experience on smaller projects have given her a great foundation for further work on professional productions – not to mention her calm and collected attitude on set. With us Teresa has shown skills on working with people from different backgrounds – students to professionals, young to old, country to another. We can’t wait to see what she becomes in the next few years.
We’d love to see Teresa gather more credits on all assisting duties in production and AD departments to reach her future dream of working as the 3rd AD on feature length productions and TV series. We see her as a perfect match to any English speaking production due to her language skills and a great addition to any local productions that won’t require native level of Finnish.
