I’ve been at the Berlinale many times watching films and now for the second time at the European Film Market (EFM). This year I’m going to be shooting my graduation film ‘Voice of the Nation’ at the same time. Well not really at the same time. Before the rehearsals and start filming I can enjoy the Festival life for a week while preparing the last things for the shoot next week.
There is such a variety of films to watch at the Berlinale from all around the world. One couldn´t be able to see all these films in local cinemas. My parents usually take a holiday and go and watch several films a day, meet up for lunch and ice-cream and go cue to get more tickets. Even some relatives from Finland come and join us. The more I am involved with other things the Berlinale and the EFM offer, the less films I sadly get to see. Meeting all these talented people though, makes up for it.
Berlin is a great place for many things and it’s also home. It’s great to combine meeting my family and friends with the life of film. I’m excited for the rest of the crew and cast to arrive next week. Keep yourself updated with our shoot of ‘Voice of the Nation’ here:
